Praise the Lord! We have made it past the 12 week mark and had our NT scan to check for any abnormalities. WE PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS! Baby was bouncing/ kicking away during the ultrasound, it was so cool to see. The ultrasound tech told us right away that baby passed with a lot of room to spare! Making it to the 12 week mark is always such a great feeling even though we know too well anything can happen. The Doctor had nothing but great things to say and reassured us that what happened to Ian with a cord accident was EXTREMELY rare. I know I will always worry a bit more but we have some great guardian angels watching over this little one ( big brother included!). We were also able to hear the babys heartbeat on the doppler for the first time which is always cool, even though the doppler will forever get my heart a racing. The nurse has to take my heart rate and blood pressure after I hear the heart beat otherwise I freak out and my numbers are off the charts. It was a great week and we even started to tell some of our close friends.
