22 weeks

Run, yoga, spin.. Oh my!!  This week I have been making sure I get in my exercise everyday and went to the local co-op to shop for whole organic foods.  This is what Tuesday's menu looked liked ( try hard to eat good during the weekdays, weekends are a different story).  It must of worked because thankfully didn't gain 5 lbs in one week like last. whew! This Saturday's game was our week to host the tailgate.  We made the Chili & chocolate stout cupcakes. I think it turned out well it was a chilly morning but the hawks pulled off a W in overtime.  The weather is sure changing and had my winter coat out almost everyday this week, even saw some snow fly!  Sunday we bundled up and walked to Bluebird cafe for breakfast, it is always sooo yummy!

Breakfast:  Kale berry smoothie (homemade/organic)
Snack: Apples & peanut butter
Lunch: 3 eggs + 2 pieces of eziekel toast
Snack: Banana + hot chocolate (it was snowing)
Dinner:  Kale chicken alfredo  ( alfredo made with greek yogurt)

21 weeks

(10k @ 11 weeks | 6.6 Miles @ 5 weeks| 5k@ 21weeks)
I still have the goal to "run" all the way up to due date but boy am I SLOWING
6.6 Miles @ 5 weeks 1:02
10k @ 11 weeks 1:15
5k @ 21 weeks (not sure but over 45 I think)  this slowness is due to baby bouncing on my bladder.
What a Fabulous week!  We had our 21 week anatomy scan and everything went great, absolutely no abnormalities or goofy things.  A perfect textbook pregnancy aside from the baby being almost a pound and measuring 6 days ahead of the previous estimated due date.  I think it will be mid Feb.  when baby makes his/her debut. Saturday we went to Des Moines to watch Karina do the 1/2 marathon and I did the 5k.  I even got a medal :)  Karina did AMAZING, so proud of her!!  back in March I begged her to come with me to the St. Patty's day run and she did 2 miles and just a few months later finished her first 1/2 marathon! WOOOHOOOO says baby
( What I think I look like vs. what I really look like)
Loving Yoga!  It is much harder than what people think and I am sore each time I do it but feel incredible after.  Yoga people are sooo nice too everyone in my class is so sweet and and inviting.  Not like that in cycling or body pump, I get the fuzzy feeling in yoga :)

How big is baby?   Size of a cantaloupe and 1 pound.  yes it's a big baby.

Total weight gain/loss:  +12 right on track chart wise but this was a 5lb gain in a week! I swear i gained 3 pounds between when I weighed myself in the morning to the appointment.  I did good and didn't cry.

Maternity clothes?  oh yes, went on another shopping spree.  love shopping for clothes that show off the belly.  Normally this would not be cool :)

Sleep:  ugh not so wonderful like before, Jason says I whine in the middle of the night.  I get super sore and catch myself trying to sleep on the belly but quickly realize it is not comfy.

Nursery Inspiration

Below is what we will be recreating for the nursery with some twists.  Since the baby's room is also my office during the day we will be utilizing underneath as storage.  It is a very large Ldark wood  shaped  desk.  The baskets will be used for storage.  I love the gold burst mirror, and we already have a leather lazy boy recliner that will go perfect with an accent throw.  Instead of birds like in the pictures below we are going to incorporate cute owls :) We are going very neutral because 1. we don't know what we will be having in advance and 2. this is also my office where I work all day.  The good thing we have plenty of space in the room to keep have both  a nursery and office functional. Budget $500 coming in at $497!  we just have to rearrange and put it all together probably in Jan.  Feel great that I am being a planner and getting things done early ( this never happens)

Crib $199
Mattress $80
sheets/bedding $50
Mirror $50
Picture frames: $0 (had)
desk $0
Baskets $75
recliner$0
Throw$25
owls $ 18
accents $50

19 Weeks

The BOB jogging stroller came this week!  I hit the jackpot on amazon with a open box discount.  The BOB never goes under $300 and Jason said I could not get it unless it was. ( I would of bought it anyway... hehehe)  its was on sale for $270 yahoooooo!  So this is what we got this week...
1. BOB jogging Stroller (Amazon open box)
2. Britax B-Safe Car seat (Amazon open box)
3. Brtiax car seat base ( Target returned online item)
4. BOB car seat adapter ( Amazon open box)
5. two cute owls for the nursery ( T.J. Maxx)

We also went to target and started a registry.  It's hard because I see things and I just want to buy it.  I have downloaded the Target cartwheel app & mobile coupon app which have saved us A LOT of money so far. We have saved over $70 just in the 2 apps alone with Target & over $100 with Amazon open box!  Yes, I am proud :)

This week I hit a  huge growth spurt, my belly has grown quite a bit and so has the weight. But making sure I get my exercise in, love walks with J :)  I realized that I will be downgrading from the 1/2 marathon just to a 5k in 2 weeks.  My body is just not wanting to run that long.  It's hard, but listening to my body.

We had a fun weekend for Iowa Homecoming with friends, to bad the Hawks lost :(
